Volunteers' Information
We strongly believe that the partnership between home and school is very important and we encourage parents/carers to come into the school to help. This may involve listening to readers or helping with another area of the curriculum. We also welcome help looking after the school grounds and gardens, with our net zero work and supporting the Parent Teacher Association (PTA).
To ensure the safety of our pupils, all our volunteers have to undertake a Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check before they can come into school to help. The procedure for this is as follows:
- Please obtain the DBS application guidance information from the school office.
- Bring the appropriate forms of identification to the school office for verification.
- Complete the online application.
- A DBS certificate will be issued to your home address by post.
- No fee is payable as parents are volunteers.
We also have a Volunteer Policy & Guidelines which we will ask all volunteers to read and sign – please see the Policies Page.
